In the heart of Russia, in 2006, a revolutionary idea was born. Four visionary doctors - Dr. Santosh Shakya, Dr. Amit Shakya, Dr. Rupak Narayan Bhari, and Dr. Asim Shakya - were inspired by the multi-specialty hospitals they saw in Russia and Thailand. They dreamt of creating something similar in their homeland, Nepal.

Their dream took shape on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, April 27, 2008 (Baisakh 14, 2065 B.S.), with the establishment of the Diabetes Thyroid & Endocrinology Care Centre (DTECC). This was not just another medical institution; it was the first-of-its-kind multi-specialty polyclinic in Nepal, introducing the corporate healthcare system and setting the stage for a new era in the country’s health sector.
